With this Second Announcement, we are delighted to share with you the scientific program of ARSR 2012.

Leaders in the field of rhinology in Asia will speak and share their experiences with participants over three days of Instructional Courses, Symposia Lectures and Operative Videos.

The Pre-Congress Instructional Courses include pearls and pitfalls in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Image Guidance Surgery, Endoscopic Frontal Sinus Surgery, Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery, How I Do It Sessions in Rhinoplasty, Immunotherapy and Clinic Based Procedures. These sessions will appeal to participants who wish to pick up specific clinical skills from our experts. Pre-Congress Instructional Courses are free of charge to all registered participants.

The Congress will feature Keynote Lectures by eminent Asian speakers on Pathogenesis of Chronic Rhino-sinusitis,(DY Wang – Singapore) Controversies in Surgery for OSA patients, (HY Li – Taiwan) Current Trends and Controversies in Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery (Sethi – Singapore) and Rethinking Consensus in Rhinoplasty (YJ Jang – Korea).

Prof Harumi Suzaki (Tokyo, Japan) leads a team of seven speakers showcasing the results of basic scientific research in rhinology from Japan. Prof Zhang Luo, Zhou Bing (Beijing) and Jian Bo Shi (Guangzhou) are leaders of rhinology in China and their experience in allergy research and sinus surgery reflect the great number of patients and clinical opportunities the one billion people of China present to their clinicians. Korean surgeons lead the world in rhinoplasty and the work of Prof. Yong Ju Jang and several eminent Asian Rhinoplasty practitioners will enthrall you.

Cone Beam Technology, a means of producing CT quality images in the clinic is very useful technology to know and Dr Jan Casselman (Belgium) an eminent internationally renowned radiologist will share his extensive experience with participants. This is technology applicable to your own practice.

Controversies in Balloon Sinuplasty and a MasterClass of How I Do It will be presented by Dr. Peter Catalano (USA) and Asian rhinologists who have had extensive experience in this minimally invasive technique.

There are many more eminent speakers from Asia at ARSR 2012, too many for us to mention individually in this message, do look out for them in the Program section and be at ARSR 2012 to hear and to discuss issues with them.

We invite participants to submit scientific communications in the form of posters for which dedicated sessions for e-poster presentation have been scheduled.
